Great coaches don't just call plays. They disciple. DTC helps partner schools support the coaching staff who shape our athletes every day, not just on game day.

A good coach is doing discipleship whether he calls it that or not. He is the adult who notices an athlete is tired, frustrated, and off his game, and decides to stay ten extra minutes anyway. Christian schools want coaches like that on staff, but a small program often cannot pay enough to keep them there.

When a coaching position goes unfilled or underpaid, the discipleship goes with it. DTC's coaching fund exists so a program does not have to choose between a coach who mentors and a budget that balances.

  • Stipends and pay for coaching staff at partner schools
  • Coaching clinics and discipleship training, so coaches can mentor as well as coach
  • Travel costs for away games and tournaments
  • Keeping programs fully staffed instead of running on volunteers alone

DTC is not only for athletes. Every gift is directed to one of three needs at the Christian schools and programs we serve.

  • Athletes

Tuition and school costs for the student athletes DTC sponsors.

    Sponsor an athlete
  • Coaches

Stipends and discipleship training for the coaching staff who mentor them.

  • Schools

Uniforms, equipment, and program costs at the Christian schools we serve.

    Fund the program

  • How is this different from athlete sponsorship?

Athlete sponsorship covers one student's own school costs. A coaching gift goes toward the staff and program around every athlete on the team, sponsored or not.

  • Can my church fund a coaching stipend?

Yes. Use the contact page and we will follow up with options for church and business partnerships.

The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.
